Sayed completed his MSc in the School of Energy and Electronic Engineering at The University of Portsmouth under the supervision of Dr. Hongjie Ma. He is an Embedded Systems Design Engineer with 3+ experience, specializing in embedded systems, machine learning, and product development. With extensive expertise in IoT devices. His principal research and technical interests are in Embedded Machine Learning. His research foci include AI/ML-driven embedded systems, computer vision-based object detection, and firmware development. Prior to starting his MSc at the University of Portsmouth, he worked as a System Design Engineer at THiNK Limited. After completing his MSc at the University of Portsmouth, he joined as a Research Associate in the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Portsmouth. He was also a member of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the International Islamic University Chittagong, Bangladesh, in 2021. Since his undergrad, he has been involved in the research & innovation sector. He was a keynote speaker at a prestigious IEEE Day event. He has participated in hackathons, programming contests, robo-fight contests, and attended many conferences.

Responsibilities: Development of Ship’s internal power communication and real-time monitoring. Develop the passive device for the ship to capture the data called “Vessel Sensor.”
Project: MANGA (UKRI Funding: £154,316.00) Industry Collaboration with B4T. My responsibility is to design and develop a Nitrous oxide (N₂O) sensor. Design analogue low-power circuit, fabricate it, test & trial it, and write firmware for calibration. Regular tests & trials in the University of Portsmouth lab and updates according to it.
